Snow Days

You just have to love snow days. Crystal flakes falling from the sky, covering the ground in all directions... It's a beautiful sight!

All this snow has inspired a cinquain poem. Writing a cinquain is quite easy, you simply pick a noun. That noun makes up your entire first line. The second line contains two adjectives describing your noun, third line three verbs, fourth line a sentence or feeling, and the fifth line a one word synonym relating back to the noun in line one. Short and sweet!

Here is the one I wrote about a snowflake...

Intricate, fragile
Dancing, sparkling, vanishing
* Weaver of winter’s blanket

* Weaver in the poem refers to Christ (Job 38:22 and Psalms 147:16-17)

Now its your turn! Leave me a comment with your own original cinquain.
